This capability of longer continuous recordings makes Double Layer DVD+R the ideal media for recording movies or music and sporting events onto a single disc.
The new Double Layer DVD+R media are write-once discs that burn at 2 depths on one side of the disc. They can store 240 minutes of DVD quality video and up to 8.5GB of data. Recording times of up to 960 minutes of video can be available depending on the recorder.
